How much longer?

I have dreams of a long trip across the country camping and seeing the sights. Of course, after a 3 hour drive from Victoria (broken up by a short ferry ride and a Cosco stop) and hearing after 30 minutes "My butt hurts!" And "I want to get out!" I realize that my dreams might not be a reality. My kids go non stop. Today when we got home just after 4 they hunted for frogs, checked out their mud dam in the muddy ditch (argh), did something suspicious out in the greenhouse, built balloon getters from tinkertoys (helium balloons up on the roof) and flew paper airplanes folded out of a new book....

Did I mention that we have our piggies? Yep Hambone, Porkchop and Bacon are here! They are 12 of the funniest little pigs I ever saw. Ranging in color from pink - orange - black to all sorts of spotty combinations and little, they are soooo cute and WAY too easy to identify. I think I liked it better when they were all pink with no way to become attached to one or another. They are also very happy in their pasture....they run around in circles like like puppies..... Happy pigs=good healthy organic meat. Food, Inc. is being released soon....Should be an eye opener for a lot of people....

Those piggies must be so cute and happy! You simply must take a picture! I will be on the look out for that book you mention, it sounds good. I know all about road trips and kids.. It worked a little better when they were younger, but I imagine in a few years it will be easier again. I think the key is frequent stops!-k

Oh how fun! We have so little land (1 acre) for raising animals other than chickens (in the works) and "pet" type creatures, like our dog and cat and fish. But piggies! Super.
